On 3-8 December over 30 activists, influencers and communicators will gather at a joint advocacy planning meeting hosted by FAN and EWP. Follow the discussions here.

FAN Global is seizing the opportunity to work with EWP on our joint advocacy planning to bring together a bigger group of representatives from the global south together alongside a number of northern activists to help contribute towards the global discussions and planning. Past EWP planning meetings have included a significant number of FAN members so that planning together will maximise an effective use of resources, and ensure advocacy plans are grounds in reality.

The aims of this meeting are to:

• Create a working group of dynamic FAN people who will work with FAN Governing Council to set direction of FAN Global advocacy
• Develop an evidence based and outcome focused advocacy action plan which will be included in the FAN Global Funding proposals to donors
• Develop a global/regional group of trainers as part of FGA to empower and capacitate trainers at the regional and national level to engage FAN members to work together to influence international, regional and national policy and practice
