Freshwater Action Network (FAN) is a major network of civil society organisations (CSOs) implementing and influencing water and sanitation policy and practice.  Our members, from around the world, are respected for their unique skill, experience and perspective.

FAN convened a session entitled RIGHTS IN ACTION: sharing experiences on how civil society utilizes the right to water and sanitation as a tool to improve access for the poor and the marginalized.   Members from Africa, South Asia and Latin America shared their experiences about the impact of the use of RTWS as a tool for communities to understand and claim their rights.
