ANEW members, FAN and WaterAid have jointly published a manual on the African Development Bank and the water and sanitation sector which aims to deepening CSO understanding of the Bank at a time when its work in the sector is expanding.

Monitoring government policies: A toolkit for civil society organizations in Africa

Launched by CAFOD, Christian Aid and Trocaire, this new resource contains 28 tools to assist civil society organizations in efforts to understand what difference government policies are really making.  

Water and sanitation sector financing study - Malawi

WaterAid Malawi and Malawi Economic Justice Network (MEJN) completed this study investigating resource allocation to and expenditure on the water and sanitation sector in Malawi.  The report shows dwindling water sector allocations and expenditure in the national budget in the last five years; low donor priority to finance the sector; and serious capacity gaps both at the national and local government levels.
