Ceridwen Johnson, FAN's Communications Manager and three representatives of the FAN consortium from Africa, South Asia and Latin America attended the day to learn, network and present views and ideas from Southern Civil Society on issues related to water and climate change.
Lucrecia Pisky, an Indigenous leader from Agua del Pueblo (ADP), Guatemala, represented indigenous communities and took part in a podcast on the challenges of gender, water and climate change.
Joseph Halder, Chief of Advocacy and Information, NGO Forum for Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation, Bangladesh, was one of two lead presenters in the session on Water and Livelihoods: Implications for water and sanitation service delivery and poverty alleviation.
Prof Oweyegha Afunaduula, Secretary General of The National Association of Professional Environmentalists in Uganda. East Africa (NAPE), Uganda was a key participant in the a discussion on Ecosystem-based adaptation and sustainable development.
